card counter
Casino's unwelcome guest
A card counter is someone who tracks cards played in blackjack to gain an advantage over the casino.
By keeping a mental tally of high and low cards remaining in the deck, card counters adjust their bets when odds favor them.
Though not illegal, casinos ban suspected card counters and share their identities.
The pit boss spotted the card counter and had security escort him out.
