brontosaur
Long-necked dinosaur
A brontosaur is a massive plant-eating dinosaur with a long neck, small head, and whip-like tail—one of the largest land animals ever to exist.
The name, meaning "thunder lizard," was technically replaced by Apatosaurus after scientists determined they were the same genus, but brontosaur persists in popular usage: Kids love drawing brontosaurs.
