bookie's
Where wagers happen
A bookie's is a bookmaker's shop—a place where bets are placed on horse races, sports, and other events.
Common in British English, where such establishments are legal and ubiquitous on high streets: I'm just popping down to the bookie's to put a tenner on the match.
The possessive form follows the pattern of other British shop names: chemist's, butcher's.
