binovular
From separate ova
Binovular means derived from two separate ova, or eggs.
The term appears almost exclusively in the phrase binovular twins—fraternal twins who developed from two eggs fertilized by two sperm, as opposed to identical twins from a single fertilized egg that split.
Also called dizygotic.
