A bicycle lane is a designated strip of road marked for cyclists, typically running alongside vehicle traffic and separated by painted lines.
Also called a bike lane.
Some cities have protected bicycle lanes with physical barriers between cyclists and cars: The new bicycle lane runs the length of Main Street.
