bus lane
Reserved road strip
A bus lane is a traffic lane reserved for buses, sometimes shared with taxis or cyclists.
Bus lanes keep public transit moving when other traffic is congested: I got a ticket for driving in the bus lane.
They're typically marked with signs and road paint, often operating only during peak hours.
