clipless pedals
Bike shoe connectors
Clipless pedals are bicycle pedals that attach to special cleats on the rider's shoes, locking foot to pedal for more efficient power transfer.
The name is counterintuitive—these pedals actually clip in, but they replaced an older system using toe clips and straps.
I switched to clipless pedals and immediately fell over at a stoplight.
