Midsection support wrap
A belly-band is a strap that passes under an animal's belly to secure a saddle, harness, or pack.
On horses, it holds the saddle in place; on draft animals, it's part of the harness system.
The term also applies to a band of fabric wrapped around a newborn's abdomen, once common in infant care, and to paper bands wrapped around magazines or product packaging.
