beaverboard
Compressed wood sheets
Beaverboard is a type of lightweight fiberboard made from compressed wood pulp, used for walls, ceilings, and partitions.
Originally a trademark, it became a generic term for similar building materials.
The panels offered an economical alternative to plaster: The attic was finished with beaverboard.
