bath

Warm water immersion

A bath is the act of washing oneself in a container of water, or the water itself: I'm going to take a bath.

The word extends to any immersion—a mud bath, a blood bath, an ice bath.

To bath (British) is to wash in this way: She bathed the baby.

A bath is also a bathroom, especially in real estate listings: a three-bed, two-bath house. (Capitalized Bath is a city in England.)
