barycentre
Shared gravitational midpoint
The barycentre is the centre of mass of a system of bodies—the point around which they mutually orbit.
The Earth and Moon orbit their common barycentre, which lies inside Earth but not at its centre.
In a binary star system, both stars swing around the barycentre between them.
Also spelled barycenter.
