banhammer
Account termination tool
Banhammer is internet slang for the power to ban users from an online community—a forum, game server, or social platform.
Moderators and administrators wield the banhammer against rule-breakers: The mod dropped the banhammer on three spammers today.
The term playfully imagines moderation authority as a weapon, often invoked with mock solemnity.
