Automated account activity
Botting is using automated software (bots) to perform tasks that would normally require human input, especially in online games or social media.
Players bot to grind levels, farm resources, or gain unfair advantages: He got banned for botting his character to max level.
The term often carries negative connotations of cheating or inauthenticity: Half those followers are from botting.
