ball position
Where ball sits
Ball position refers to where a golf ball is placed relative to the golfer's stance before a swing.
Different clubs require different positions—driver shots typically use a ball placed forward near the lead foot, while wedges use a ball positioned closer to center.
Check your ball position if you're hitting it fat.
Proper ball position affects trajectory, contact, and shot shape.
