arcading
Series of arches
Arcading is the use of arches in architecture, or a series of arches forming a structural or decorative element: The Romanesque arcading along the nave dates to the twelfth century.
Blind arcading consists of arches set against a solid wall rather than opening onto space.
The term also describes the action of constructing such arches.
