ape hangers
High motorcycle grips
Ape hangers are motorcycle handlebars that rise high above the seat, requiring the rider to reach up to grip them—arms raised like an ape hanging from branches.
Popular in chopper and cruiser culture, they give bikes a distinctive, aggressive look: He rolled up on a Harley with chrome ape hangers.
Extreme versions may violate height regulations in some jurisdictions.
