custom paint
One-off color job
Custom paint refers to a non-standard paint job on a vehicle, applied to individual specifications rather than factory colors.
Custom paint often involves multiple colors, metallic flakes, graphics, or special effects like candy coats or color-shifting finishes: The lowrider had an incredible custom paint job with flames and pinstriping.
The term extends to motorcycles, boats, and other objects where appearance matters.
