gravel bars
Stream bed accumulations
Gravel bars are ridges or mounds of gravel deposited by flowing water, typically found along rivers and streams where the current slows.
They form on the inside of bends or where channels widen, creating exposed or shallow areas that shift with floods and seasonal flow changes: We stopped to rest on a gravel bar midstream.
