anti-fascist resistance
Fighting authoritarian regimes
Anti-fascist resistance describes organized opposition to fascist regimes or movements, whether through armed struggle, sabotage, protest, or underground networks.
The term most often refers to World War II–era movements in occupied Europe: the French Resistance, Italian partisans.
It can also describe contemporary activism against far-right movements: Anti-fascist resistance groups clashed with neo-Nazis in the streets.
