antbird

Follows marching columns

Antbirds are a family of small insect-eating birds found in Central and South American forests.

The name comes from their habit of following army ant swarms, catching insects and other small creatures flushed out by the marching ants rather than eating the ants themselves.

Most are drab brown or gray with distinctive markings.
