802.11n

Fourth-generation Wi-Fi

802.11n is a Wi-Fi standard introduced in 2009, offering faster speeds and longer range than its predecessors (802.11a/b/g).

It operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies and uses multiple antennas to improve performance.

Though largely superseded by 802.11ac and 802.11ax, many devices still support it: The old router only handles 802.11n.
