V-sign

Two fingers up

The V-sign is a hand gesture made by raising the index and middle fingers in a V shape.

With palm facing outward, it signals victory or peace—Churchill's wartime gesture, the counterculture's peace sign.

In Britain and some Commonwealth countries, the same gesture with palm inward is an insult equivalent to the American middle finger: He gave them the V-sign as he walked away.
