Trotskyites
Permanent revolution advocates
Trotskyites are followers of Leon Trotsky, the Bolshevik revolutionary who opposed Stalin's consolidation of power in the Soviet Union.
Trotsky advocated permanent revolution and international socialism rather than Stalin's "socialism in one country." The term is often used disparagingly by other leftists to dismiss opponents as ideologically impure or perpetually fractious: The meeting devolved into Trotskyite infighting.
