Totoro
Totoro is a large, friendly forest spirit from the 1988 Studio Ghibli animated film *My Neighbor Totoro*.
The character—a rotund, furry creature with pointed ears and a wide grin—has become an icon of Japanese animation and childhood wonder.
References to Totoro typically evoke gentle magic, nostalgia, or the innocence of seeing the world through a child's eyes: My daughter's room is full of Totoro plushies.
