T-piece
Three-way pipe fitting
A T-piece is a pipe fitting or connector shaped like the letter T, allowing a branch line to join a main line at a right angle.
T-pieces appear in plumbing, pneumatic systems, and medical equipment such as breathing circuits.
In respiratory care, a T-piece connects an oxygen source to a patient's airway tube while allowing exhaled air to escape.
The plumber installed a T-piece to add a line for the new bathroom.
