hard drop
No gentle landing
In video games, especially Tetris, a hard drop instantly moves a falling piece straight down to its landing position, locking it in place immediately.
This contrasts with a soft drop, which accelerates descent but allows repositioning.
I hard dropped too early and ruined my setup.
