St Basil's
Red Square cathedral
St Basil's Cathedral is the iconic Russian Orthodox church on Moscow's Red Square, famous for its colorful onion-shaped domes.
Built in the sixteenth century under Ivan the Terrible, it has become the most recognizable symbol of Russia: The postcard showed St Basil's against a winter sky.
