Spanishness
Iberian cultural identity
Spanishness is the quality of being Spanish or having characteristics associated with Spain and its culture.
The term captures whatever makes something distinctively Spanish—whether in art, architecture, cuisine, or temperament: The flamenco dancer's performance radiated Spanishness.
Like other national "-ness" formations, it can describe authentic origin or mere stylistic evocation: The restaurant's décor aimed for Spanishness but felt generic.
