Redwall

Redwall is a series of fantasy novels by Brian Jacques, set in a medieval world of anthropomorphic woodland creatures—mice, badgers, hares, rats—centered on the sandstone abbey of Redwall.

The books follow a consistent pattern: peaceful creatures defend their home against vermin invaders.

The series spawned twenty-two novels and became a staple of children's fantasy literature.

I grew up reading Redwall.
