Plastic Man
DC's elastic crimefighter
Plastic Man is a DC Comics superhero created in 1941, known for his ability to stretch, reshape, and contort his body into virtually any form.
Originally a criminal named Patrick "Eel" O'Brian, he gained his powers after falling into a vat of chemicals and reformed to fight crime.
The character is distinguished by his red costume with yellow accents and dark goggles, and by the comedic tone of his adventures—he often cracks jokes and transforms into absurd shapes like furniture or vehicles.
Plastic Man predates and likely influenced the similar Marvel character Mr.
Fantastic.
