Yogi Bear
Pic-a-nic thief
Yogi Bear is a cartoon character created by Hanna-Barbera in 1958—a brown bear in a porkpie hat and collar who lives in Jellystone Park and schemes to steal picnic baskets from visitors.
His catchphrase "smarter than the average bear" and sidekick Boo-Boo made him an icon of American animation.
The name puns on baseball legend Yogi Berra.
