Photobucket
Online picture storage
Photobucket is an image and video hosting service launched in 2003, once among the most popular platforms for storing and sharing photos online.
Users uploaded images to Photobucket and embedded them on forums, blogs, and auction sites.
In 2017, the service abruptly required paid subscriptions for third-party hosting, breaking millions of embedded images across the internet—a moment sometimes called the "Photobucket ransom."
