Philippe Petit
Philippe Petit is a French high-wire artist best known for his unauthorized 1974 walk between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center—a feat he called "le coup." His walks combine athletic skill with theatrical presentation, treating the wire as a stage.
The 2008 documentary *Man on Wire* chronicles his most famous performance.
