Ozzfest
Heavy music festival
Ozzfest is an annual heavy metal music festival founded by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in 1996.
The touring festival became a defining event for metal and hard rock, launching or amplifying careers of bands like Slipknot, System of a Down, and Disturbed.
I saw Pantera at Ozzfest '97.
The name blends Ozzy with fest, following the pattern of Lollapalooza-era touring festivals.
