Deftones
Deftones is an American rock band formed in Sacramento in 1988, known for blending heavy metal with atmospheric, dreamy textures.
Their sound—sometimes called "alternative metal" or "art metal"—pairs aggressive riffs with ethereal vocals and shoegaze influences.
Albums like *White Pony* and *Around the Fur* established them as one of the more experimental acts to emerge from the nu-metal era: I've been listening to Deftones since high school.
