grindcore

Brutal, brief songs

Grindcore is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal that emerged in the 1980s, combining the speed and aggression of hardcore punk with the heaviness of death metal.

Songs are typically very short—often under two minutes—featuring blast beats, downtuned guitars, and vocals that range from guttural growls to high-pitched shrieks.

Their set was forty-five minutes of relentless grindcore.
