Korn
Bakersfield heavy group
Korn is an American nu metal band formed in 1993, known for pioneering a heavy, downtuned sound that blends metal with hip-hop influences and emotionally raw lyrics.
The band's self-titled debut and follow-up albums like *Life Is Peachy* and *Follow the Leader* helped define the nu metal genre in the late 1990s.
Korn was one of the first bands I got into as a teenager.
The spelling references the band's unconventional style, with the backward R becoming an iconic part of their visual identity.
