Moghuls

Subcontinent's Muslim rulers

The Moghuls were the Muslim dynasty that ruled much of the Indian subcontinent from the early sixteenth to the mid-nineteenth century.

The empire produced the Taj Mahal and a distinctive blend of Persian and Indian culture.
