ateliers

Where painters create

Ateliers is the plural of atelier, a workshop or studio where an artist or designer works.

The French word carries associations of fine art and haute couture that the English *workshop* lacks: fashion ateliers in Paris, the sculptor's atelier.

In art education, an atelier is a studio where students learn by working alongside a master.
