Malaga

Andalusian coastal capital

Malaga is a sweet fortified wine from the Málaga region of southern Spain, made primarily from Muscat and Pedro Ximénez grapes.

The wine ranges from golden to dark brown, with rich, raisiny flavors.

It was highly fashionable in the 18th and 19th centuries but is now relatively obscure. (Capitalized Málaga is the Spanish city and province.)
