Vigo
Spanish Atlantic city
Vigo is a port city in northwestern Spain, the largest city in Galicia.
It sits on a deep natural harbor and serves as a major fishing and commercial port.
The name appears in historical contexts related to the 1702 Battle of Vigo Bay, where English and Dutch forces destroyed a Spanish treasure fleet.
We took the train from Porto to Vigo.
