Lion of Judah
Ethiopian imperial emblem
Lion of Judah is a symbol with deep roots in Jewish and Christian tradition, originating from the biblical blessing of Jacob to his son Judah, comparing him to a lion.
It became associated with the tribe of Judah and later with the lineage of King David.
In Christianity, the Lion of Judah refers to Jesus Christ as a title of majesty and power.
The symbol holds particular significance in Rastafari, where it represents Haile Selassie I, the former Ethiopian emperor whom Rastafarians revere as divine.
