Laredo

Rio Grande city

Laredo is a city in southern Texas on the Rio Grande, directly across from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

It's one of the busiest inland ports in the United States, with much of the trade between the two countries passing through: The truck crossed at Laredo.

The city appears in the traditional cowboy song "Streets of Laredo."
