Kennesaw

Atlanta area peak

Kennesaw is a city in Cobb County, Georgia, northwest of Atlanta.

It gained attention for a 1982 ordinance requiring heads of households to own firearms—largely symbolic and unenforced.

The city is home to Kennesaw State University and Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, site of an 1864 Civil War battle.
