John Mellencamp
John Mellencamp is an American rock singer-songwriter who emerged in the 1980s with heartland rock anthems about small-town life and working-class struggles.
His hits include "Jack & Diane," "Small Town," and "Hurts So Good." Originally marketed as "John Cougar" by his record label, he later reclaimed his birth name.
Beyond music, he's known for his painting and for co-founding Farm Aid with Willie Nelson and Neil Young.
