Def Leppard

Def Leppard is a British rock band formed in 1977, known for polished arena rock and power ballads.

The name is a deliberate misspelling of "deaf leopard," giving it a punk-influenced look.

The band achieved massive commercial success in the 1980s with albums like *Pyromania* and *Hysteria*: My parents' Def Leppard cassettes are still in the car.
