Ice-T
Gangsta rap pioneer
Ice-T is the stage name of Tracy Lauren Marrow, an American rapper and actor who emerged from Los Angeles in the 1980s.
He pioneered gangsta rap with tracks depicting street life and later became known for playing Detective Fin Tutuola on *Law & Order: SVU*.
The name puns on icedtea and the initials of Iceberg Slim, the pimp-turned-author who influenced his style.
