O.G.

The real veteran

O.G. is hip-hop slang for original gangster—someone who has been in the game long enough to command respect.

The term expanded beyond gang culture to mean anyone who pioneered or mastered something: He's an O.G. in the sneaker world.

It conveys authenticity and veteran status: That's some O.G. wisdom right there.
