Vanilla Ice
Vanilla Ice is the stage name of Robert Van Winkle, an American rapper who rose to fame in 1990 with "Ice Ice Baby," the first hip-hop single to top the Billboard Hot 100.
The song's success was followed by accusations of inauthenticity and cultural appropriation, making Vanilla Ice a recurring punchline in discussions of white rappers and one-hit wonders: He's the Vanilla Ice of tech bros.
