Hopscotch
Chalk squares game
Hopscotch is a children's game played by tossing a small object onto numbered squares drawn on the ground, then hopping through the pattern on one foot, skipping the square where the object landed.
The game tests balance and accuracy.
Figuratively, to hopscotch is to move in jumps, skipping over intermediate points: We hopscotched across Europe, hitting only the major cities.
